Join me as we explore the lives and landscapes of these beloved North American authors.
In this class we will spend six weeks immersed in the nature that surrounded and inspired the lives of Louisa May Alcott, Laura Ingalls Wilder, and L. M. Montgomery. We will discover how deeply nature influenced them as persons and as writers. We will use these discoveries to guide our own nature exploration and nature journaling.
Each week also includes a “tea time” video for discussing food & drink during the author's lifetime, or the literary influences on their life and work. Recipes are included as well as painting tutorials so you can paint the food and teacups into your journal.
You will receive six weeks of video instruction (94 videos) which include technique videos to guide you in your drawing and watercolor journaling. Handouts are available by pdf along with a list of suggested nature journaling prompts and techniques to try.
This class is designed to take you anywhere from 2-6 hours or more each week, depending on how much time you are able to set aside for nature journaling and nature exploration.

This class was filmed in February/March 2022 and recordings of the live Zoom Discussions are now available for those purchasing this class after that date.
